About Me

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my page and allowing me to introduce myself.

My name is Laura Long and the mother of four adult children, active in church and embrace a Christian Worldview. I graduated from the University of Tulsa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's Degree in Education. In 1991, I entered the public school system as a Special Education Teacher and later earned certifications in Elementary Education (1-8), Middle School English, Autism, Other Health Impaired, Mild/Moderate Disability, and Traumatic Brain Injury. I have worked with all age groups, specializing in Specific Learning Disability, Attention Deficit, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and behavioral and emotional disorders among many other challenges. I also lectured and provided support for Crisis Intervention and Hearing Impaired/Deaf consultation within the district while teaching. In 2013, I completed my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, Magna Cum Laude and currently work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Laura
