Thank you for visiting my page and allowing me to introduce myself.
My name is Laura Long and I am married with four children, active in church and embrace a Christian Worldview. In 1991, I entered the public school system as a Special Education Teacher and later earned certifications in Elementary Education (1-8), Middle School English, Autism, Other Health Impaired, Mild/Moderate Disability, and Traumatic Brain Injury. I have worked with all age groups, specializing in Specific Learning Disability, Attention Deficit, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and behavioral and emotional disorders among many other challenges. I also lectured and provided support for Crisis Intervention and Hearing Impaired/Deaf consultation within the district while teaching. In 2013, I completed my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and currently work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
